Russia Mission Trip 2010

DATE:
July 23 - August 1, 2010

TASKS:
Our team will work with two different orphanages. One is for children aged 3 to 10 who have eye or other physical impairments like fetal alcohol syndrome or Down Syndrome. The other is for children aged 13 to 19 who are social orphans.
We perform backyard Bible clubs, sports evangelism, Bible study and arts and crafts. The orphanages are located on the Gulf of Finland, about 2 hours outside of St. Petersburg, Russia. Both orphanages have children that can be adopted, although many of the children are there not to be adopted, but to be taken care of until their parents return to get them, or until they are released.

Buckner International is the ministry that we have been working with since the first trip to Russia in 2004. Last year we also were able to take some hand-made clothing from the local ministry Hemmed In Prayer and we will be taking some more this year.

REGISTRATION IS COMLETE. PLEASE BE PRAYING FOR THIS TRIP!

Of this number, 621,115 were orphans. About one-third, 230,000, were housed in 1,600 orphanages.
