Endowment Giving That Lasts Forever
No charitable organization does more important work than your own local church. At First Baptist Church, we continue to try to spread the good news of God’s Kingdom in so many different ways through many different ministries. Many of our members make certain they will be able to continue to give to the work of their local church forever. This can be done by remembering First Baptist Church as you do your estate planning or by making a specific gift now.
First Baptist Church has two funds to which you may contribute. The first fund is called the Church Property Fund. The principal will never be spent, and the interest from this fund will go toward making sure that those who worship at First Baptist Church will always have facilities that are safe, appropriate, and updated, just as previous generations have done for us.
The second fund is the Special Ministries Fund. While the principal will also never be spent, the interest from this fund will be used to do additional missions and ministry projects that are not supported by the regular church budget.
Of course, we must always be willing to be good stewards and to tithe our incomes in order to maintain our day-to-day church budget. At the same time, however, we can be good planners for the future. As this fund grows, the interest will be used to supplement the ministries that might need some additional funds that the budget cannot provide. Appropriate church committees would decide among mission needs from foreign missions trips to ministries here in our own backyard. Giving to the Special Ministries Fund guarantees that you are invested in the ministries of First Baptist Church until the Lord returns. |

By selecting to give a portion of your estate or a lifetime gift of cash, stocks, bonds, or other property to this fund, you will help make certain the availability of good facilities for the ministries and missions of First Baptist Church. As this fund builds, the interest will be used to ensure that future generations will be able to worship here at First Baptist Church. We presently own over 300,000 square feet at multiple locations, and as we continue to grow, we shall likely expand with additional facilities. |
