Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.
"We aren't born into God's kingdom because of our status, our brilliance or our strength. We are born into God's kingdom because we receive the baby in the manger and believe in his name. Our faith in Christ gives us the right to become children of God. We enter heaven the way Jesus entered this world--born of God...
today would be a good day to pray for those in your family or your circle of influence who have never become children of God. Someone once said, 'Christmas began in the heart of God. It is complete only when it reaches the heart of man.' Maybe this year someone you love will look forward to Christmas 2014 in a new way because they have entered God's Kingdom as Jesus entered the world--a newly born child of God."
Talk together about a family who doesn't have a church home or who doesn't know much about Christ and the true meaning of Christmas, and invite them to the Christmas Eve service tonight. Our Savior is almost here...take every opportunity to make His name and coming known.
