Obey?

I Can trust His power!
This morning in Sunday School, children learned that "I Can Trust God's Power In My Life." In what ways has God shown his power in your life? Share those experiences with your family! What better way to tell your children about God's power than to tell a personal story from your life! [more]
How has God cared for your family?
Good morning!! Today in Sunday School, children learned that "I Can Trust That God Will Care For Me." How has God cared for your family? Children's Wednesday
This Wednesday Night, November 9th
You want to make sure that your children are here this Wednesday night for all of the activities going on at FBC! The children are continuing to work on their Christmas Music in choir. They sound great and I know you will enjoy their performance. We also have some great things going on in missions this week. The GA's will get to hear from Daniel and Sky Scott about their mission work in Zambia. They did a great job speaking in church on Sunday night and I know the girls will have something to gain hearing from this couple. It is so neat for them to hear from someone who once set in the same rooms they are sitting in learning about missions who is now living it out in the bush of Africa. [more]
I can use my talents!
We are so glad to have so many Faces @ First! This morning in Sunday School, children learned that "I can use my talents and abilities in ways that please and honor God." What talents and abilities has God given you? It is so important to use those things to glorify God--He gave them to you for a reason! Spend some time this week talking about what gifts each member of your family has and how you each can use those to spread Jesus' love. [more]
Forgiveness
Good morning! Today in Sunday School, children learned that I Can Offer And Receive Forgiveness. Who do you need to forgive? Who do you need to ask forgiveness from? This week, read Matthew 6 as a family. Talk together about what this chapter says about forgiveness and ask God to give you the strength to both forgive others and ask forgiveness from others. [more]
iWorship
This past Sunday during iWorship our focus was how God created us all differently. Everyone has different likes and dislikes in this world. However, we must remember that God calls us unique and wonderfully made. The picture is of our closing activity where each child put their thumb print in the middle of the Bible verse and others put their thumbprint around it. We talked about how no two fingerprints are alike but we are all children of God. I would encourage you to bring your kids on Sunday night to iKids at 5 pm in The Link. [more]
He really does have a plan for me!
Good morning! Today in Sunday School, children learned that I Can Trust God's Plans For Me. Take time this week to read Job 33:13-14 together as a family and talk about how, even when we don't understand how God is working and moving in our lives, He is still faithful to us! [more]
Treating our families...
This morning in Sunday School, children learned that I Can Treat Family Members With Fairness And Kindness. Families are a wonderful gift from God! How does your family show kindness and fairness? I remember as a child having special dinners where we were not allowed to serve ourselves; we had to help serve our other family members in order to get the food that we wanted. Spend some time this week talking about how your family can make an extra effort to show each other kindness and love! [more]
Grand Performance!
The Music Makers and Young Musicians Choirs sang during the evening service on October 16. They did such a great job not only singing songs but also leading the congregation in worship. It was truly a blessing to hear them all sing praises to God. If you are not already and would like to be a part of our children's choir programs they on Wednesday nights from 6:00-6:45 p.m. in various locations around the church. Our children's choir coordinator Terrie Turner would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have about the program or assist you in finding the right class. You can email Terry at terrie@firstamarillo.org. [more]
