Good morning! Today's Big Picture Question is, "Was Jesus wrong to be angry?" No, Jesus was angry for the right reasons. Jesus hates sin. When Jesus and His disciples went to the temple, they saw that people were misusing the temple. Instead of it being a place of worship, they had made it a place of business (unfair business at that). Jesus stood up to the people and told them what they were doing was wrong; He began healing the blind and lame, showing everyone how the temple was to be used for God's glory. Talk as a family about a time when you had to stand up for God. When we hear people misuse God's name or see others misuse God's worship space, it's ok to be angry---but, like Jesus, we can set the example for others and show them how God should be treated. Pray as a family thanking God for being worthy of our very best worship.
