Ignite

Ignite is an annual event where students from all over the area gather at Paramount Baptist to worship and to hear great preaching. It is an event that draws hundreds of students to build community with each other and make friendships with those they might not meet at any other event. 

Disciple Now

In late January or early February, we have an event called "Disciple Now". We spend the weekend in worship, in Bible Study and in investing time into our community and in investing time into each other. Most of the weekends events take place in our small groups split by grade level. Each group is welcomed into the home of a church member where they spend most of their Disciple Now weekend.

Mexico Mission Trip

Once a year, our students cross the borders of Mexico, during Spring Break, to love and serve local children and adults. We have partnered with a church in Ojinaga, Mexico, for over 15 years. Students begin applying for this trip shortly after Disciple Now. You can apply for this trip by filling out this application.  After graduating from our ministry, students often say that this is the most impactful trip that the Student Ministry takes.

Breakaway

Each year, our Student Ministry takes the week after school and we go to camp. You will hear this referred to as "Breakaway" or "the best week of my life." Our camp locations have spanned from California to Colorado and into the heart of Missouri. This week is a great way to engage with God and know him in a better and more personal way. 

Simply put, Breakaway is a blast. You will not only have a blast but you will also meet new friends along the way. Breakaway sets the tone for a great summer and propels us into the fall. It truly is the highlight of the summer.

For the last 6 years we have been led in worship by Dutton, a great band, who have also released several worship albums. We are also led by a Camp Pastor who always gives engaging and challenging messages. Breakaway may be a time where you try something new, for example, rock climbing, zip lines, paintball, cliff diving and many more water and land activities.

Ski Trips

The first weekend of spring break, one of our youth staff and a few trusted adults, take our middle school students to Glorieta, New Mexico. We stay at the FBC Lodge and take part in two days of glorious skiing, outstanding worship, and spectacular food. This trip is an absolute blast.
